A Thought Of Charity Poem by C. Muralidara Kannan

A Thought Of Charity

A thought of charity
sounds the birth of a
benign entity, a shower from the
shrine of guardian angels guiding
you in the path of humanity.

A god sown seed in the garden of
your fertile, fruitful, fraternal and friendly heart!

Manure it with action aheading.
Water it with wilful commitment! Nurture it with the sunrays of hope!
Translate it into a nithyakarma!

A sapling that turns into
an oak or banyan tree
outliving the abode of their birth;
accommodating all those deserve
like the Govardhan Giri!

A purgatory of painful past
and a heraldry of peaceful future to plough through pagentry of present!
A break-free boat to cross the
turbulent ocean of Karma!

For, the sustained sense
of charity keeps away any calamity!
