I am sorry but I get from this that you are not close to your mum. You have found this love you need from somewhere/someone else and feel guilty that you do not feel such depth of love for your mum. I could be totally wrong but thats how it reads to me.

nice lines celebrating the institution of motherhood.... i guess almost all poets have delved into the subject......of course me too... The lines are almost religious intense and entrenched, the magic is when ever one reads such lines they seem to catch on and embed in ones psyche.... this is more specific....a mother and a son.....nostalgia and projection create a powerful mix...and takes you to a thumb sucking aba daba gooo gooo stage.. very nice loved reading it cheers :)
