In his time no one knew that tuberculosis could infect other persons, so when Keats died, few time later Severn died too (the friend who had cared for Keats when he was very ill) and was buried next to Keats. After his death Keats had become very famous and now immortal.

Such a tragic end, Keats suffered from tuberculosis and went to Rome to have warmer climate, but at the time he arrived it was nearly end of the year, so you can feel the chily weather
