To pass on the poem without a word of appreciation, gratitude or simply acknowledgement may be felt to be a negligence. Whenever I address an Indian elderly poet I do it with a suffix JI in order to show respect. Savitaji is that i use in your case. I am thankful to you for remembering it
amazing write, a sympathetic gesture to dear fellow poets on PH. Magnificently rendered. Thank tou for sharing. God's Blessings.
Thank you so much Sylvia. Ph is really a wonderful site and we are thankful for the space that it provides us to express us.Though we are divided by miles and miles, express different cultures and backgrounds it is so good to read and make connections with fellow poets through the medium of poetry.

Wonderful sentiments, Savita. Catching up with friends brings warmth and good cheer. Happy Holidays and thanks for sharing.
A very nice tribute Savita. I think one of the reasons we all write poetry is to not only offer new perspectives and ideas, but also to connect with our readers and also our fellow poets. You are a welcome influence on this site. All the best. Pam (Jette)
Thank you for the lovely expression of gratitude. That is some thing I am currently working on..I look forward to reading more of your work.
So beautiful a poem, Savita! I am so touched by your sweet sentiments of gratitude and am greatly excited to see my name mentioned first! You have brought in so many of your fellow poets under your umbrella of love and camaraderie! Yes, we poets are connected by an inalienable bond, cutting across cultures and frontiers! Once again hats off to you for this splendid write! You have picked up the salient features of most of the poets'. I am surprised at being called as an icon!
As for letting Valsa come first: that's ok; she's a sweetheart. I would even allow Akhtar to come before me. But, guess WHO taught them all they know about poetry, ENGLISH, HUMOUR, AND LIFE. you guessed it. ME! To MyPoemList. Bri :)
Savita, a fine poem-tribute is this! As 'they' say: it takes two to tango. They are numerous dance partners available on this site; thanks PH. PoemHunter is a superlative world stage indeed to share and explore each other's poetic and prose thoughts. I would probably not be here without the comment and message features. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, BUT do you REALLY think i tried being funny? ? NEVER! Bri :)
What a beautiful and warm greeting to PH friends both near and far and yet always near in heart. Thank you for including me among such august company. I have never been in a better poetry group than this and it is because of people like you who are the light in the darkness for the rest of us. Thank you, Savita.
Thank you Susan for your lovely comment. I too have enjoyed the online warmth and fellowship of poets of this site very much and that is what inspired me to write this small tribute.
Through your poem We see the poet And her heart Filled with love And her words Full of wisdom... Thank you. Happy Holidays.
Thanks my dear sister Savita Tyagi, I saw your photograph and now I know it's grace of your face that is reflected in your poems.
Thank you so much Akhtarji for reading the poem and for your kind comment.
Thank you for taking the time to express gratitude! May return blessings rain on you!
