A Tear For The Worker (Part 3) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

A Tear For The Worker (Part 3)

Rating: 5.0

A big tear drop
For the hope
That keeps you on
And wasted times
And money on drinks
At the slightest promise
Of a rise in pay

The certificate
Of the learned
Is a source of pain
When remembered
And the uneducated
Has his fate resigned

It is the evidence
Of a dehumanised
And deprived generation
And the resilient hope
That has refused to die

Very truly stated, this is pure intellectual sagacity and dexterity at work in this beautiful piece.
