A Tango Dance Poem by Doris Cornago

A Tango Dance

Aim
End to
End extend
Deadline dead
Beribboned goon
Filigreed fractions
Messing with mysteries
Wistfully wanton wannabee
Handholding, pleasant plunk
Kindred con on walkathon alone
Tiresome teddy on merry melody
Project-pushing, percolate potions
Emotions low, drift downstream, flow
Try hard fixing dysfunctional niggard
Nixing nothing on brisk side-stepping
Life's a tango dance, flexing muscle
Ungrateful self-centered salamander
Sleepless, stressful statue-crone
Mouthing phrases, full of stone
Still on the edge of tomorrow
Safely zip, sandwiched slip
Green grub grovel grownup
Fix fax manuscript maxed
Gun barrel, bent arrow
Willy Wonka on vodka
Missing all meals
Gravity granted
Gallivanting
Groinjokes
Groupie
Goalie
Goad

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Have you gone through the full cycle of love-hate? Well, it happens to me everyday as I believe that my willingness to wrestle with my demons will cause my angels to sing. Further, if I don't deal with my demons, they will deal with me, and it's gonna hurt. So, I'll do better to express myself in poems and be done with brickbats.

Wrestling with demons requires dollops of courage. All the best to you my friend.
