I like this. I like this very much. You caught us all up in your Winter's Night Tale! The child seeing candlelight silhouettes- - - - -]A thousand creatures, roam up the ceiling Dragons flicker avidly while unicorns preen near by - - - - - - - - ] that charmed the heck out of me! And your word choices...exquisite! - - - - - - - ]He pulls a quilt to his weary eyes Watching snowfalls gently like the eiderdown fly - - - - - - - - -] The brittle arms of the lone Birch. Very well done!

In this mementos note with the muse of life. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Beauty spilled on the page, absolutely enjoyed reading it.
I moved with poet, wherever the poet went I was chasing him. I heard the tale, I felt the winter, though it's too hot, I became a child, I became an youth, though I am an old man. I was helpless, the poet is a magician!
What a wonderful poem you offered, many many thanks for sharing! A nice tale of nice dreams with vivid imagery. 'The brittle arms of the lone Birch Lay still to the frost but are not deterred' - An incisive observation. 'The child laughs, as the old man watches The vital life of youth with imagined glasses Together they watch the stars and the snow Forever besieged in this mementos note' - You need special eyes to see all these. Enjoyed the poem, best wishes...
i love how you describe the passing of time
