A Beautiful poem. Very true said, he wishes that we push it open by our own efforts to reach him. Everyone have to pay for his or her sins in this life itself. No one can escape. Ultimately when one reaches, God will definitely the door will be open for him. Loved reading it.

Though our hearts may not be lily white and though we haven't liberated ourselves completely from our mundane pursuits, God will answer the earnest supplication of a contrite soul and will keep heaven's door open to welcome us! I believe in a God, all forgiving and merciful! Beautiful poem!
