I still wait on the highway for a sun to climb the hill. dreams. disappointments, failures. in spite of all that hoping for a bright future... nice poem. tony
'The dreams did not last long in the wild eyes of geniuses. Grace and dignity fell short of sinners. The prince of blackness strode on the white souls.'..is very brilliant. The poet does not lose hope for a better life. Nicely composed. Congrats.
Absolutely brilliant! ! How the truth of this progression is detailed by you with all emotions, hopes and failings is just a perfect poem
I could not have been a witness of paradox. Lacked in the old books I still wait on the highway for a sun to climb the hill. - - The idealistic dream did not last long as reality came to the fore.Virtues gave way to vices- - - -But the Poet does not lose hope- - -He still waits for the sun to climb the hill. Such a wonderful poem selected as the Poem of the Day.
Hats off Satish: a great poem showing your indifference to society's vices and the hope you're holding on to.
Such a beautiful poem! Dreams never last long and paradox is overwhelming.......it’s a p, ensure to read this fine poem.
What a beautiful, evocative, lyric dance through the world of things and the world of thoughts. I am taken by the °paradox° teetering gently in the morning stillness between old age and youth, innocence and experience. The play between the head and heart, what is graspable and what simply, or possibly all too complexly, is not brings to life the moment when reader meets poem. A spark of light.
As usual and i am sure you know this is a well crafted poem The universal truth held in this work flow outward and touches i am sure many lives for we all have felt these feeling our selves at different times and in different places The summation and the helplessness expressed in 'I hold this insult in the throes of conscience with tears.' but there is hope in the last stanza enjoyed great work on the human condition. Yes there is always hope 10 +++++
