A Summertime Memory Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

A Summertime Memory

Rating: 5.0

A memory floated through my mind
Of walks along the hills
Those good old days now far behind
In thoughts i'm with you still.

Those bluebells covered far and wide
The woodland ground back then
Just being together side by side
Oh, just to relive again.

For summertime seemed warmer then
With so much joy to share
The sky so clear of roaming clouds
I wish I could be there.

The years have flown so fast since then
But memories remain
If only i could walk with you
To that, special place again.

You are right Jayne, the weather is changing. May used to be a sunny month, now it full of rain clouds
