A Sufi In Lahore Poem by Sumita Jetley

A Sufi In Lahore

In Lahore's heart, where colors gleam,
Lives Ayesha, a vibrant dream.
Her day begins with dawn's first light,
In simple prayers, her heart takes flight.

The streets alive with joy and cheer,
She joins the games, brings laughter near.
At home, the scent of spices warm,
Her Biji cooks with loving charm.

Her brothers study, dreams so bright,
Their focus glowing in the night.
Ayesha pauses, breathes it in,
Her heart so full, her spirit grins.

Acceptance guides her every day,
In life's embrace, she finds her way.
In Lahore's heart, she dances free,
Ayesha's spirit, wild and sea.
