It is commonly believed that the dogs we love are directly
descended from the original canine wolf! Imagine that!

There are the noble dogs for the blind,
Trained to be brave yet gentle and kind.
Trained to protect, direct, so they guide,
Steadfast and faithful, to stay at one's side.

There are dotty dogs, like those that chase cars
And some barking dogs that won't let you pass.
Trained dogs that even patrol day and night,
Trained dogs that are ready and up for a fight.

Hollywood films have celebrities
Like Lassie and Krypto meant to please,
And dogs for Tom and Jerry fans,
To stop that cat and all his plans.

Then great dogs loved, that once were mine,
With pedigrees that looked so fine.
With love enduring without fail!
