A Strong Woman (For Aida Azzopardi) Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

A Strong Woman (For Aida Azzopardi)

Rating: 5.0

You were the one wearing the pants
Holding the family purse
Scraping every nickel and dime
To afford my guitar lessons
And my school uniform
But you didn't have any dreams for us
Except getting married and grandchildren
You were short in stature
However, you were a mighty fighter
No one could hold you down
You were everything I wanted to be
A strong woman

Great tribute to your mother. Five stars. So do you play the guitar, LeeAnn?
