Wow, Sylvia your poem made me want to cry. You put so much emotion into it and really took poetry to a new level. I have dealt with depresion my whole life so i understand your meaning of your poem. Continue writing you have an extreme powerful talent.
I like how you commonly accept depression as being well.. alive! Many people shrug off depression as simply having the blues... Real depression is what you speak off... Its good to see someone embracing and acknowlegding depression for what it is! KEEP IT UP!
Ironically, it seems, another book I am reading and another one of your poems crosses paths. This time it is 'DARKNESS VISABLE' by William Styron. Both are realistic descriptions of depression. My attampt is in '....and counting.' I will print two of your lines to put up by my desk at home: 'Condemn yourself not for your mistakes/That is what it takes for you to be awake'. Thanks Again, Tom
True words spoken Sylvia, I have been there and come out the other side. Thanks for sharing. Ive been on your site too. Lisa

Connected with poem Sylvia I am not sure you are dealing or in a relationship with someone with depression. I am in a relationship with someone who has depression and it bought a tear to my eye. ty well done
