A Spirit Is Mended, Winter Has Ended Poem by Isadora Quagmire

A Spirit Is Mended, Winter Has Ended

Rating: 5.0

When winter's breath has iced the world around,
And hearts are brittle, shattered by the chill,
A simple act of kindness can be found,
A warming ember on a frosted hill.
A gentle word, a helping hand outstretched,
A listening ear to sorrows whispered low,
Can melt the icy grip that life has fetched,
And bid the frozen spirit start to grow.
The hurt, a wound that festers in the soul,
Can find a balm in caring's gentle grace,
A soothing touch that makes the spirit whole,
And leaves a tender smile upon the face.
One single spark of empathy's bright fire,
Can chase away the shadows and despair,
Igniting hope, and raising spirits higher,
A testament to love that we can share.
For in the depths of cold and bitter nights,
The softest gleam can grow into something bright.
Hopes are rescued from an untimely end,
And the soul may begin to mend.

This poem is sooo great! I really like the imagery in it! It sounds like Aslans returning to Narnia… to heal us all! What a kind poem, its going in my favourites!

'It is indeed the ordinary acts of kindness that keep evil at bay'
