WE ‘the roof and crown of things’ spill blood of our brothers, One can't imagine A Sparrow leads one to such lines, but it has and beautifully so.

Truly, by hating others, we are actually hating ourselves.Loved reading the poem.

The hopelessness of violence and the apathy that blood and violence brings. All wrapped in the fragility of curiousity.

When will the harmony in man prevail? I enjoyed the thought provoking question at the end. her own image in the glass she couldn’t tolerate to beat it with her bill at the glass she knocked, so madly she did drill as if ‘the other’ she would kill. in doing this she broke her beak all over the beak the blood did spill, ignorantly her own she couldn’t bear Your voice escalates well in this piece with a vivid detailing of the events. Sometimes we stand stubbornly in our own way and become our own worst enemy. Also highlighted nicely was the fact that volatile intolerance is a painful course.

You have used the narrative style to great effect in this excellent poem...Truly you are right, the sparrow- mirror imagery that you use depicts beautifully the present state of unrest in the world...

we can forgive the naive innocence of birds and animals who act instinctively But there is no excuse for mans inhumanity to fellow men We are supposed to know better but seemingly examining history we eithe dont or wont learn to live in harmony

Poor little sparrow and human beings are just as stupid with our wars against each other when life is so precious and we should be celebrating it, not fighting. I suppose it's because there is so much unfairness in the distribution of wealth and therefore well being but war solves nothing, nobody wins, everybody loses and at the end, when all is done we have to talk to each other to survive. Peace man, make love not war....have a nice day and come and read.....'Flower Power' Ruthy: -D

The imagery and perplexities of this poem I follow. As a reflection of an image that makes attempts to destroy and diminish what it sees. Not grasping the affect created by its misunderstanding. And how that lack of comprehension, brings upon an unsettling unrest unexpected. Nice poem. Thank you for requesting I read it. Blessings, Lawrence

Your writing has a fine spiritual context. This poem draws attention by analogy to mankinds self destruction. We all come from the same life force, let us not be self destructive.
