A neighbourhood stray cat knew I didn't like cats and one day came thru the back porch into our kitchen and stared at me. He then gave a blood-curdling screech the likes of which I had never before encountered. I laughed myself silly at his audacity and welcomed him in to stay with us as long as he liked. Which he did.

I work for the union boss, the cat in my household, shared with the laboring dog....we dare not defy his indifference to us, unless, of course he comes a-purring....stealing secrets from my heart....Forget the fact of allergic attack, he steadily strings me along. I loved your piece....Well crafted. PEACE
