Has it never crossed your mind, my dear Norman, as well as others who take that line that soldiers about to go into combat should have wives and children dependent on them? They may well perish on the battlefield, and all you have to offer is a shabby and frail thanks to the families? The real world is brutal and more to the point, but you who live in a more distant realm do not realize that war requires sacrifice from all the citizens involved! Better single MEN without families fight and die than fathers and mothers die, Wake up and smell the napalm!
I thought this was beautiful, i am a soldiers wife an i loved your poem, its hard for them being away but also its hard on us to and sometimes we get over looked, thank you so much for writing this about us. THIS IS TO MICHAEL PRUCNICKI with the rude comment, our men chose to do what they do and we stand by them 100 %. Dont come on here leaving rude comments when obviously you have no common sense of the military life because if u did you wouldnt have said any of that bs. I hate the fact my husband is gone we have 2 little girls but the fact is he loves what he does and he does it to protect his country. In this life you live and you die you dont no when or where but i am sure if you asked more than likely 99% of our soldiers would want to die fighting for something then at home from cancer or some other crazy disease. anyways Thanks for the poem it touched the heart, some idiots just dont get it
