A Soldier's Wife Song Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

A Soldier's Wife Song

Rating: 5.0

I'll carry yr heart on my sleeve
To say that I am waiting for yr return
But when I got the message
That you won't be returning into my arms
I wept on that November morning
As I put my poppy on yr grave
And let go of yr heart sadly

The worse thing war can do is leave those still living to mourn for the waste of life. A touching tribute, you give depth to those women left behind.
