We all look for a real, long lasting truce, and not a temporary truce! Appreciate the poet's longing for abiding peace and love in 2016 and his tribute to the soldiers, the guardians of freedom! . Great write Akhtar ji!

But the sun has come with a different name. Wonderful line. I recall reading of WWI soldiers having a truce and playing soccer. That should have ended it, meeting and knowing the enemy and finding out he is just a nice, normal guy like you.
