I read this a while back and again today it sends a shiver down my motherly spine Jim! Yes! every single loss of life through war, has a terrible affect upon a whole, or family that was whole....I like your villanelle and the form gives grace and power to the feelings of those left behind....I do hope their blood is not spilled in vain greed.
