As a young boy a soldier i dreamed to be.
shuffling across the yard my
toy gun strapped around me.
A soldier, i grew to be.shuffling across
the battle field with combat gear now strapped to me.
I pretend no more.
 All the soldiers before me,
young brave and bold.
On Pony's many rode, by foot many would go.
An old Soldier on a horse, i did see
as he saluted me.'carry on ' he called to me,

On the battle field we will see if your the
soldier i though you'd be.
'Yes Sir' i replied, remembering a battle
field where my grandfather had died
