A Sleeping Beauty Poem by Chika Offor

A Sleeping Beauty

And I was trapped not in the myriad of dreams, as I watch her sleep.
At daze; I looked at her heavenly beauty.
Mesmerized as I stared at her cherry lips.
Nine heavens will crumble and the realms of hell destroyed as drop of tears is sighted on her eyes.

Her smile so charming that the heavenly tribulations is angered.
So calm and peaceful that Buddhas bash their head in shame.
Deep eyes that send the demons screaming.
Such treasure beyond the crumbling of kingdoms and fall of empires; planets will fall and stars destroyed.

A hot blooded youth I am, such treasure I own, I shall protect.
