This reminds me of some of the Cautionary Tales of Hilaire Belloc, though you do much more than merely relate a incident involving childish clumsiness. The key to the poem lies in the lines: 'She always seemed happy while drinking Quite unusual given her sad disposition' Hopefully his grandmother's message is heard by this young lad and he is able to avoid his mother's alcoholic path. Excellent write. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

good that he was able to see his grandma's picture frame and was guilty.. Lovely narrative..

Curiosity led this lad into double trouble. I brings to mind a parent drinking and smoking, and saying 'don't you dare take drugs' to a child. They learn from their parents and I enjoyed your narrative very much. 10 love Karin
