The choice here was to recommernd or not to recommend this poem. I liked the repetition of the Single Black Rose but I didn't like the rhymes very much. There is a fine line here that I simply chose not to cross. I decided not to recommend it. GW62

I must say this is my favorite by far. Your poems are better when they rhyme, in my opinion anyway.

A single black rose happens to be symbolise a lot of things in my own life... it is sensual and epitomises beauty and individuality... it is a powerful poem and even the death is not a sad affair, but almost a celebration.

I really love this one. While initially others may see only death and depression, I see a man who has love, has passion, has pain...I see proof that he his alive! I think this is my new favorite.
