A Simple Thing
A Simple thing
I would have done
to save the world and bear its son,
to rid all man of poverty and disease,
to heal the children that couldn't see,
to make the world new and bright,
to ask forgiveness in your eyes.
A simple thing
I would have done,
to be in the arms
of the forgotten son.
