Oh, you've proven that simple leaf is not so simple after all...beautifully sclupted, just like your poetry! Peace, Aisha
Of a simple leaf, with it's own story... this line sung to me. i really, really enjoy your style, your way with words, your wistful feel. makes me feel so nostalgic & lovely. best care, Sus.
That is a lovely poem showing the beauty of nature all around us.
Beautiful Ernestine, I felt as if I was holding that leaf and watching the spider skuttle away. Warm wishes, Justine.
A beautiful poem which put a much needed smile on my face.
I love leaves and trees, but even if I didn't I'd love this poem. A moment caught in time. Thank you!
Dear Ernestine How beautiful this moment that you caught so well.Reminded me of a poem called Angels. It goes something like this: Angels A man on the street is pointing up to the sky. 'Look, An Angel! ' he yells. Passerby Laugh. 'You fool, that is only a cloud' How wonderful it would be to see angels Where there are only clouds. How sad it would be to see only clouds where there are Angels. Hope You liked it Love Duncan
Ernestine, simple yet effective, with a hint of humour is this well written work of autumnal color. Lovely rhyme with a smooth flow and impeccable imagery. Nice work! :)
Is there some sort of spider conspiracy going on! Perhaps I'll have a go at some spidery writing! lovely descriptive words here, well done Regards, Lucy
the comfort of Nature never fails always gives and gives and has given you a lovely poem
Ernestine, this simple poem about a simple leaf is certainly 'a pleasure to the mind.' It is, as you have so eloquently stated, 'a sculpture so beautifully designed.' A masterpiece! ! Brian
