A Shared World Poem by MD MOZAFFOR HOSSAIN

A Shared World

A Shared World

I haven't taken a lease of the world
Nor am I its owner.
I may have a shared reality
A living sense that embraces others.

I haven't taken a lease of the world
Nor do I own this place.
With its myriad of phenomena,
I am just a thing or less.

I do have a sensing aura
As everyone else does.
Mine is in no way better
Than what anyone else has.

Who am I to decide
What others are to act?
How passive would my life be
If others manage my facts!

As scriptures say for all
Must you expect a thing
As you for yourself do
Else you are a doubted being.

The world is as dandy as one deems
Not for me only or any single name.
Everyone, everything makes it cherished.
Letting others be is never a shame.

Havocs, hazards, chaos and such maladies
Ambush you, me and all
When we curb others' rights
Our conscience happens to fall.

Living such a life one step at a time
So as not to make others' beliefs
Face not even the slightest disturbance
May surely bring for all serene relief.

Hence, I do feel like a hale part
Not like a braggy whole
As I revere every other unit
For, the universe needs us all.
