While 'wrinkled and loose And withered ' shows a pathetic condition 'A face like a snakes'denotes a furious and venemous appearence

I wonder if the face gave away those deeply hidden ill emotions too, for the grasping of which the poets are so famous. That is what makes this poem great in its brevity.
