These newly empowered secularists,
Like to play, at being bright, modern gods.
O I do not doubt their fervent passion,
But I do question their integrity.
I think they like to stir controversy.
They seem not only keen to kick against,
The time honoured, trusted bones of wisdom,
But to devalue sweet visions of Grace,
And the sacred. O their nonchalant sense
Of crude relativism, not only
Astounds me, but disturbs me, and makes me,
Deeply worried about the world's future.
