Summer sandwich paste...good one! You've caught the Rose of Life, David. No way to make it last, forever, with all its beauty intact. So, we must appreciate it while it's there...then even the poignancy of the crinkled, brown petals are a crown of gold to it's past. Do it again! You are one good poet! ! xxElysabeth
Absolutely beautiful poem, beautifully written, a pleasure to read. --Melvina--
Had to comment on this one. Loved it. The whole thing is so full of thought and meaning, and brought back feelings of a much loved friend whom wilted away a few years ago. My favourite so far for lots of reasons
The imagery and thought patteren weaved throughout this poem is Beautifull and sad all at once! David you write so well...God gave you a gift to share and thank God you are sharing it! ((Smile)) =Shelley=
yes this was a great piece, the words you used were wonderful work of art.
I love your choice of words and imagery Such a sorrowful tale of this rose : O(
Yes, this is great! I like the title, how it is written which has that poetic sway, and the symbolization of the tinted rose that relates almost to everything.
Ah, our rose with a tinted past. Born out of a refuse tip. Born with buds pointing skyward high. To catch the sun through a cloudy sky. Born with a majestic air. Need I say more...I think not, Great piece Love duncan X
David... i think the others have said it all really, beauty grows in unexpected places...10
An image laden charting of life/the rose. A rich and sensuous poem that leads the reader through the sights, sounds, smells and sensations, and very tangibly, the moods of the seasons of life/the rose. Superb composition. jim
