a very moving poem as it hurts to see others hurting and not be able to ease their pain no matter how badly you may wish too...

Well written poem on a difficult subject. Having been through bereavement I know only too well the feelings involved. Still well done anyway.

This is a big question-Why death? But, this is inevitable. We all know. Very vivid expression. No ambiguity. Loved.

Tender subject very well and feelingly drawn Lyn. Owain's right, it's a subject we all should be more familiar with and less awkward about. I'm inclined towards the old Irish custom of the wake, where the guest of honour turned on a keg for the crowd. That way, a feller might get a more flattering number of mourners. Would be interested in knowing if you've been to any and have written about the experience.

You have covered this subject well. I do not think we discuss death nearly as much as we should. I have no more knowledge than anyone else about what comes after but I do think death should be a celebration and that we should feel the excitement of the unknown. Maybe that would destroy some of the fear.
