A Revolution Against Racism In America Poem by Hebert Logerie

A Revolution Against Racism In America

Stop talking about revolution, revolution
It is like winning the lottery, the election
When a true revolution is on the move
Nobody, nobody can stop it. A revolution
Comes unannounced like an irresistible storm
A hurricane, a cyclone, an earthquake, a major
Storm, a major event that nobody, no dictator
Can stop. A revolution is taking place now, now
Right now, now in the United States of America
A huge rainbow of young people (Blacks, Whites
And others) are in the streets, they have encircled
The blue firmament, yelling and hurling as loud
As they possible can: ‘Black Lives Matter'
Yes, we want justice now. No justice, no peace
A serious revolution is happening now, right now
In America, in the world. No justice, no peace
A revolution is unstoppable, just like when you got to go
You got to go. We can't breathe, we will breathe
Until racism and police brutalities are eradicated
Until they are buried and deeply interred in the past
A revolution against racism is happening now, right now
In America, throughout the world. Spring brings
Cool and fresh air. We can breathe, we can flocking breathe
A revolution against racism is taking place now, right now
We want justice and peace for our brothers and sisters now
We can't breathe. We can breathe now. We shall overcome
As long as we're alive, we will fight and we will win this battle.
