Hi Chuck Another 10 for a first class rhyming miniature. Great balance and rythmn in here. All have a moral or point, no matter how short Great Steve
I love this Chuck, it is so clever in its brevity. HG: -) xx
Though brief, this is a witty and clever poem, Chuck. I particularly liked how you made each terse word count, yet made them produce just the right bit of imagery to make this poem very effective. Carl.
This has the brilliance of a Leunig cartoon. What more can I say? love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Charles, Hello again. I love this poem... You make me smile... Please read my 'A Heart Speaks' written back in the late 70's...I think you will get a kick of of this poem. You truly are a terrific writer. Dorothy PMI still not picking up my submissions so I resend them to poemhunter...Enjoying your several entries.
I don't know how I didn't see this one before...but it is very wonderful work! ! Hugs, dee
Mmm, the perils of leaving that window open. I find that it's fear that flies in all too often, and love that crawls, sometimes not even knowing it has come in. Oh, you've provoked my most profound response yet! Great poem.
I love this, Chuck! You could have written a mountain of words and not said as much! That old devil called 'commitment' eh :) Love has flown in and out of my window many times...now I begin to wonder if I've seen the last flight...ah well :) Great stuff :) Jack.
Oh yeah it's like your telling your self the result of what you might reject or accept.. Nice way of putting it!
I've only recently caught sight of your work. I wish it had been earlier. This is a brilliantly crafted piece with elements of truth just thrown in as if in jest... very finely crafted.
Charles, I like this. Almost whimsically deep. Flippant yet profound.
The simple images are juxtaposed beautifully with the choice of love vs fear so inviting complex emotions. There is great depth to the visual clarity of this one Chuck. Justine :)
Got to take heed of these warnings Charles, but it takes courage to venture out and have another go.Nice sweet poem. Love Ernestine XXX
A little more serious than your usual stuff Mr Chuck. I like it, it's human and almost cynical and full of a kind of sweet surrender. Thumbs up from me.
PS: check out 'The Locked Door' by Vincent Turner. I think you'll like it. Love, Gina.
Love, a never ending subject, fascinating but painful. Ruthie
