A wheel of good and bad is always there in life...whenever misfortune hits there are lots of things to smile like the moon and the star or simply a baby's smile that gives immense strength to cross over the bad phase....a lovely poem Bharati 10/10

sometimes, when feeling 'depressed' or just 'not so great', it may help to SMILE even though you don't feel like doing it. do i take my own advice? ? of course not! who would think of smiling? a psychologist or psychiatrist maybe, but they usually get PAID to think of such things. and the longer they talk, the more they talk, the more they may get paid! this is now in Section A of the September 2016 Showcase for PH poets. :) bri SMILE! ! !

Smiling is a language that when spoken has the power to transform. That reality is here captured in your poem!

I enjoyed reading this piece. It's wonderfully penned. Your poem brings to life of what a smile can embrace and change an otherwise dismal feeling... Thank you for sharing this piece. The back story on mine The Reason I Smile I was given a picture prompt where there was an open book, with a man coming out through the words on the page embracing a real person... I thought of a touching story, or poem jumping out of the pages itself, and in only 23 words, thus inspiring my piece...

Though human life is full of ups and downs, nothing stays for ever! Sorrows soon pave way to joy and despair.... to hope! This may be the balancing mechanism of the cosmos, just as seasons keep rolling! After a period of tribulation, we always get a chance to smile! Thanks Bharati for sharing this philosophical write!
