Hi Angel - I am enjoying your poems - but some of them have a lot of angst. I have chosen this one because it is as lovely as you are and has excellent poetic structure and content. Your six initial description of a REAL FRIEND are awesome. A Rare Flower - believe me they are rare - A Teddy Bear - I love all my Teddies they are so so soft and huggable and they never make any demands - just like Real Friends - Me and My Shadow - always together - A Cupcake - always tasting so so sweet all my Real Friends taste wonderful! A Tree for shade and a Light for Guidence - AMAZING. There is more this poem is inffinite in its appreciation of Friendship. Gum - Shelter - Birthday Card - Mop (to clean) - Eraser (to blot out) - Cooling Breeze - Dictionary (A-Z lovely) - The Sun - Equal Sign - Pop Song - Rain - Caramel (I had a girl friend who I called Caramel she was so so sweet and bursting with the energy of love!) - Missing Piece of jigsaw - Quiz - Labrador (I love Labs - they are so cute and lovely) - Teacher (we can all teach each other someting new!) - Open Book (no secrets - no barriers to love) - Fruit Pie (Alabama Cherry Pie - YES) - Pair of Floaties (I love this one!) BEAUTIFUL. You have shared a lovely poem with us Jemma - I score you MAX. love you in Poetry - JOHN X X X
