A Ray Of Hope Poem by Mary Champion

A Ray Of Hope

So, when a handsome young man
flashes me a heart-melting smile
and offers me his seat,
that makes my day.

Being eighty -
I don't imagine this marks the start
of some delightfully flirtatious interlude.
Rather, it suggests that he is a kind
and thoughtful human being.
And this gives me hope.
