I like to think and enjoy-
while walking in the woods,
A lark it is to prance, sashay-
And also
I'm able to avoid any floods.
One day I was thinking of you-
Day-dreams of candy cones,
So deep in thought, I never thought
I was anything but alone.
I never noticed what it was-
But heard it as it leaped,
Dreamily, I didn't escape
But still-
In my sleep, I keep dreaming as deep.
Many times-
Drifting on whiffing variable winds-
I've wondered:
Would I trade my demise for that dream,
I conclude that I couldn't-
moreover 'I wouldn't! '
For my dreams of you
Are grander immeasurably-
And far more higher than what others
might deem.
