Concise, articulate and sooooo true. How many students hate Shakespeare because they are forced to 'study' his poetry at school. Fortunately for me, I new and loved Shakespeare before the literature mistress asked me for the 'meaning'. By then, it didn't matter - I was already 'hooked'. love, Allie xxxx

Spot on. But of course it isn't approached that way. It always irritates me (HUGELY- imagine, tee hee) that teachers are supposed to encourage students to deconstruct poems to indicate 65 million different intentions of the poet. Face value, I say, and approve heartily of this succinct piece - it is going straight onto the Lever Arch files with which I kindly supply students! t x

There's no denying what this poet said! I can see this as a subject for a class debate! Kind regards. Justine
