A Purposeful Life Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

A Purposeful Life

A PURPOSEFUL LIFE
Portable clean water
Cities faulter
In this day and age
Wherein technology is abundant
The elite find refuge behind ideological enclaves
The poor skip over human waste in the streets
The cities have no budgets for sanitation
But plenty money for luxuries for executives
Obviously the decrepit are more appealing
Come elections they trick us into voting for them
We know we are fallible but forever not gullible.
Life is not just lived
A purposeful life is more fulfilling
