A Purpose For Me Poem by Randy McClave

A Purpose For Me

Rating: 5.0

I was in a fire
The Devils desire,
As flames had burnt my skin.
Was I going to die
I kept asking myself why,
Must I pass away in my sin.
But, I survived
When salvation had arrived,
To defeat the Devil's craft.
God wanted me to live
He wanted me to help and give,
No more did the Devil laugh.
God then gave me a gift
So, my soul and others I could lift,
He gave me the talent to write.
Then he told me to help others
My sisters and brothers,
So, now I teach others how to fight.
I am here for a role
I want to be God's goal,
As God has opened my eyes to see.
I have suffered and cried
I have been used and denied,
But, God had a purpose for me.
