A Psalm For All Poem by Justin Phillips

God says to the pious,
'I love you, my children,
you are kind and good,
you are charitable,
you live in the light
and you offer me your love.
You shall be rewarded
with the kingdom of Heaven,
in this life
and the next.'

And God says to the wicked,
'I love you, also,
for you, too, are my children,
and I would lead you to the light
that you may see.
But should you choose the dark
and turn from me
I will love you still
for it is my nature and my being,
and the time shall come
in the kingdom of Heaven-
in this life
or the next-
when you will see
and love me, too.'
