Thank You for the morning Lord,
the dawn that gives us light;
for birds that sing so joyfully,
in repose or in their flight.
Thank You for the daytime Lord,
and the heat from summer's sun;
for lengthy passages of time,
in the race that we have run.
Thank You for the evening Lord,
when the afternoon is waning;
and we think upon Your word,
of knowledge we are gaining.
Thank You for the night Lord,
as we're refreshed in sleep;
resting sound within Your arms,
safe from the waters, deep.
Thank You for this life, Lord,
as we answer to Your calling;
walking high, above the crowd;
without the fear of falling.
