A Portrait Of A Fashion Girl Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

A Portrait Of A Fashion Girl

Fashion girls,
Mall visitors,
Shopping mall visitors,
Marketing girls,
Going for shopping,
To visit malls and to do marketing
Their job,
To be after fashion, style and designing,
Trying to be smart, bold and daring,
Ever ready to have pizza, burger, coffee, drinks,
To spend time on beauty and style their life,
To be to beauty parlours.

Fashion girls
They have a world of own,
Of fashion, design, beauty,
They live in a world of fashion,
Sleep and awake in dreaming about fashion,
Trying to keep slim, stylistic,
Talking of perfume, scent, powder and cosmetics,
The mall visitors, just like theatre-goers,
Market-visiting personae, we mean shoppers
Wanting to be beauticians, fashion designers.

For them, life is fashion,
Life is a visit to the shopping mall,
A shopper going for shopping,
A talk of the beauty parlour,
Buying of flowers and the bouquets
To be stuck into hair and kept into the vase
Of the dressing room,
The villa is their world looking like a bungalow
And she a sahib,
The cook is cooking, the waiter is waiting,
The car lies it parked in the garage,
The calling bell is calling,
Perhaps some stranger is at the gate,
She going with the dog to open the gate
After going down the stairs.
