• Interesting rhymes. But I'm not so sure poetry is nice words at all. This is one of big misnomers about writing poetry. Poetry is meant to enflame or move readers toward new concepts, physically, emotionally, & spiritually which means a poem needs internal conflict of some sort in its turning point, which is later conjoined in some way with the opening of the poem, when the closure on the poem is finally made. Stephen Crane's 'black rider' poems from the 1800's are haunting, scary, fearful and fearless. Yet they reveal much about people and various kinds of closed consciousness. (a knell) is a bell ringing for a death, a for whom the bell tolls kind of a thing. I think you mean 'kneel.' I misspell words all the time and I really appreciate it when someone brings it to my attention. I hope you are the same way. a poet friend/RH Peat on A poetic world From Ron Peat 21 J
