the last of these lines made me laugh.... a bit. :) Not so for Esther, she wasn't keen on learning Scriptures Although she'd visit regularly, it was mainly for the wine - - - - - - - - - - - - - - these lines and the others before it [i haven't read the rest of the poem yet] make me feel this is the favorite of (for me) of all the poems of yours i've read so far. ;) and i like the fester/Lester rhyme especially. Stepping on the tack gave Esther's foot quite a fester It made her more careful when she went visiting Lester - - - - - - - - - yes, i learned in church that God is more than wine; He is bread wafers also! ! ! ! hee-hee. this is a fine sermon. a sermon from Clarence on the Mount Toronto. to MyPoemList. and into Section A of 2017's February showcase.
