Excellent. This reads like you're writing about a famous poet whom I should've learned about in school. (from a distant land, etc.) Like you're giving us clues, and if I wasn't such an ignorant peon I'd be able to say Of Course! - -It's about so-and-so! but alas, this ignorant peon has no idea who you're referring to, so I'll hope it's pure fiction. Either way, your poem is terrific, and very carefully constructed. This is the work of an experienced, talented writer with a good brain.
