ahhh.....yes, the words that rattle around and steal our sleep. The words that distract us from our work. The words that cannot be denied. Well written, good poet. Congratulations on Poem of the Day.
But once complete my poems do leave me joy behind That's so true, me too! Thanks for sharing!

Its a common thing experienced by almost all. Nonetheless, how one faces it and acts may differ. Great hing is to share yours with the rest. Thanks for sharing.
This is real. This is how one feels when one goes to bed and an idea creeps up. Very nice. Feels related. Thanks for sharing. Congrats.
Dancing in my head! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
This is exactly what happens to me. Sometimes I have to get out of bed to write down things that are running around in my head. You expressed it so well in your poem. Congrats for having it selected as poem of the day!
Nice...really nice. I love it... I have a poem with the same exact title.: -)
I LOVED READING THIS BECAUSE IT IS AN EXPERIENCE I SHARE! 10! -Raj
Dear Jean, I really love this poem because this is precisely how the majority of my poems were written-long into the middle of the nights (between 4: 30 and 6: 30 a.m. most nights) when I was so deep in sleep and deep in thoughts that my thoughts would soon overpower and invade my sleep causing me to wake up immediately grabbing my pen and paper before I forgot what I was thinking about writing during my restful sleep. Thanks so much for complimenting me on my poem! ! It truly made my day to know someone likes my poetry enough to tell me about it. Take care and God Bless You!
You have captured so well that anxiety we all experience, Excellent pen, here!
Hehehe well Jean we share that and as I see many others do also. Good job!
LOL Jean, this happens to me as well, or I could be out away from my pen and pad or my computer.I found this a great description of a poets plight.Very good read!
I think when we are completely relaxed we do our best writing, I know I do. When I'm tense it just doesn't come. Ruthy: -)
