They toss around til I can no longer sleep; And my thoughts become crowded when in those words creep; So up I get to pen them down, Thanks for lamenting so creatively.

ahhh.....yes, the words that rattle around and steal our sleep. The words that distract us from our work. The words that cannot be denied. Well written, good poet. Congratulations on Poem of the Day.

This is exactly what happens to me. Sometimes I have to get out of bed to write down things that are running around in my head. You expressed it so well in your poem. Congrats for having it selected as poem of the day!

Dear Jean, I really love this poem because this is precisely how the majority of my poems were written-long into the middle of the nights (between 4: 30 and 6: 30 a.m. most nights) when I was so deep in sleep and deep in thoughts that my thoughts would soon overpower and invade my sleep causing me to wake up immediately grabbing my pen and paper before I forgot what I was thinking about writing during my restful sleep. Thanks so much for complimenting me on my poem! ! It truly made my day to know someone likes my poetry enough to tell me about it. Take care and God Bless You!

I think when we are completely relaxed we do our best writing, I know I do. When I'm tense it just doesn't come. Ruthy: -)
