Rating: 4.8

He had a poet's heart
When he melted with pain at the sight of a wounded bird
Like an ice cube melting in summer's heat
The helpless eyes of grieving bird's mate

Beautiful poem. Poetry is more than a simple imagination.

Like a little paper boat in gushing rainwater....I sincerely admire the beauty inherent in this delicate poetic expression. Happy Vijyadashami dear madam.

(cont.) It is late and I was having too much trouble trying to explain my use of 'cool', so....I give up. Who cares, anyway? ? ! Ha ha. bri : )

(cont.) I looked up 'slang word cool' and liked this meaning which is VERY close to explaining how I used 'cool', but I don't know what 'an aesthetic' means. Ha ha. (cont.)

(cont.) I also especially enjoyed stanzas 1 & 2, BUT who is 'He'? ? Is he a god/God? ? He sounds like a 'cool' guy. (cont.)

Savita, I especially enjoyed st.7, lines 4-8. Last stanza: Perhaps I'd loan my butterfly net to you. Another type of flicker is a type of 'woodpecker'.

(cont.) Did I make a mistake? Maybe someone ripped that entry out of the dictionary? ? I think 'renders' here means 'gives up/over'.

Once again, I've forgotten that left comments 'some time ago'! ! ! 'A famous story'? WHO is 'HE'. I wonder. st.5: renders: the Merriam-Webster online dictionary claims to not have 'renders' in it! ! ! (cont.)

st.3 lines 4-5: There's a typo I say, and following that, some lack of understanding for me. Punctuation and NOT having a Capital letter starting each line MIGHT help me. : )

I don't know much about your life style, status, social image, reputation and prestige but I feel that you are very down to the earth. This is an invaluable piece of poetry that you have offered to the readers' community which will stay in every poet's heart forever!

'And is as inspiring and revealing of my world As the golden rays of dawn' HOW ABOUT CHANGING 'is' TO 'be'? : )
