Tonight, like many nights before
I sit here hunched over my desk
Pen in hand, a lamp above my head
Waiting for the voice that comes

When the mind is quiet and still Faint voices will come floating in So just sit and wait as lovers do For the song to start and a poem begin........ Great Poem by you Madam. I invite you to my page too for your comments please..........
I admit I read your poems because your name was on my comment list - so glad I did - they are beautiful and this one speaks to the heart of everyone who calls themselves a poet....

Another fantastic poem from Jemarie Ragudo. This poem speaks to all of us who have ever struggled to find the words that express our inner selves. Jemarie makes it look easy.
I am enjoying your writings, so full of truth, meaning and heart. This one sounds loud and quiet, in the hours that we are alone with ourselves :)
I really like this one, Jemarie. What poet has not had that same feeling? You write very well...so I think your muse must be whispering into your ear. I find my muse to be more present in certain places, like Hawaii...or Sedona, Arizona. I can depend on the poetry at both those places. Raynette
I do like his one and agree with it and with the good comments it attracted. Best regards, Sean
This is great. We have all been there plowing through our minds for the words that fit our mood, that sparks that makes you say YES that feels good it flows. But when it comes and you look at the words you have tied together it is so satisfying whether others like it or not. Poems are a snap shot of your emotion at the time you write them that is why they give out so much passion.
A powerful expression and feelings of a poet who cannot express and did justice to what he would like to write. There maybe a block somewhere, or it depends on the mood of the writer. As a poet, count me in to plead
True madam, this poem expresses the sentiments of poets. Excellent points to ponder.Worth another 10.
Powerful stuff you got here. I feel the same way some nights when I can't write my poetry. This was very fun to read to tell you the truth. I for one am sometimes stuck on what to write as a poet. EXCELLENT JOB! ! !
A sublime depiction of the intricacies of poetic creation in solitude. A witty reflection, highly relatable. Thanks for sharing Jemarie.
